Text message on one device but not other

Hi all. I have this odd issue with specific texts. Here is the scenario. I have an iPhone and a Mac Mini. Both are set up to use messages.

When I get a group text that contains my wife and son, it only shows up on the Mac Mini but not the Iphone. I cant for the life of me figure out why it is as I checked the settings.

Anyone ever see this?

Sounds like maybe the group text is using a number/address that you've allowed to be reached at on the Mac, but not the iPhone.

In Messages settings on both devices, check that you're allow to be reached at what you prefer. Personally, I uncheck all my email addresses and only allow my phone number. You may then need to start a new group chat so it uses your number instead of an email address, assuming that's what the issue is.
