Help! I sent a text message to my boyfriend that said the following, "Good for you babe!! You are suppose to work up to it not go hard right off the bat silly!". I was referring to the fact he went to the gym for the first time in a while. The text message that he received was the following, "I love you....don't ever think I don't want you around....I LOVE ght off the bat silly!" He flipped because he said I got caught sending the wrong message to him that I was trying to send to another man. He has literally called off our relationship over it and we have never had any issues. He said I am cheating behind his back, but I did not send this message. How does this happen? I have an Iphone 8S and he has an android. I called Apple and they have no way of explaining it....just said it was a glitch. I called Verizon, who is my carrier and they just said it has something to do with the software, so they had me update all my settings etc..... How the heck does this happen? Other than the proof this has happened to other on this website I have no way of explaining it. Please help, I swear I am not going crazy.

It doesn’t matter what happened. If you told your boyfriend exactly what happened and he doesn’t believe you, that means he doesn’t trust you. Why? Idk. Maybe you can answer that yourself. No trust, no relationship period. Move on. Life is too short to play those petty games.

It would be interesting if you can share screenshots of that occurrence.

End of the day though, if one person in a relationship doesn’t trust the other one or is unable to work with mistakes that happened, there is not much compatibility there. Move on and find somebody better suited for you.

There’s no such thing as an iPhone 8S. Did he show you the text? Maybe he’s the one messing with you trying to hide him from cheating.

Have you both tried restarting your phones?

Does your original, intended message appear in your Messages app? Can you show this to him?

Or does the mixed up version appear in your Messages app too? Can you be 100% sure you didn't send as that - if you weren't paying 100% attention it could have been the result of a accidental undos, selects, pastes, cuts, something from your clipboard earlier. Perhaps you accidentally hit the microphone dictation button and it started picking up what you were saying or a garbled version of what you were saying?

I think the key is really what appears in your app. It doesn't rule out something odd happening during the transmission process that then wrote over the top of your version of the Message too, but it's worth checking.
