My wife was texting with a contractor doing some work for us.
In the middle of the thread, a message appeared that appeared to be from her, but she didn’t send it. It was seemingly on topic generally but mentioned a name that neither she or the contractor recognized.
It’s a new iPhone 15 Pro Max. Has anyone seen anything like this?
 
Here we go, this is why we need minimum requirements before starting a thread 😂

Was it SMS or iMessage? Or a 3rd party app? Any chance that the contractor accidental CC’d in another contact with the same name? Too much info missing.

Could you provide redacted screenshots?

You really need to provide a LOT more information than that. You’ve given us literally nothing to go on.

Was someone else using another device owned by your wife with that messaging app synced ? iPad or Mac ?
