Text Messages to 9011?

Hi All,

I have an jailbroken.activated 1.1.4 iPhone and ive just checked my bill with o2 (Simplicity Account) and ive got 9 text messages to 9011?

Does anyone know of this number. I know this may now have anything to do with my iPhone but im justy checking just incase it is something to do with the iPhone and o2

This has come up before. It is some sort of check when you reconnect to the O2 network, but it only happens with Unlocked phones. I don't know why.

Same here.
Jailbroken and simfree 1.1.4 Was with Meteor and had no problems, when switched to O2 the phone started sending text to 9011. sometimes every 3 seconds. when the card came it was supposed to have 50 cents on it, I never got to use it, cause the text took it, and then kept at it 8 more times but free, since I had no money on account. I didn't know and topped by 20, and two days later it started sending again (16 texts)
I rang O2, told them off, they refunded the money and said its an invalid number (and network takes it for an international). They apparently charge you 25 cents even for numbers that dont exist and for text that dont even get send. They said I should take the phone with sim to their shop for a check. That means they would send it off for a couple of weeks and who knows what would the phone come back with?
Anyone knows will them messages stay or is it only at the beginning?
Will the problem go away if I downgrade to 1.1.3?

This is still happening. Got charged Eur 8 yesterday for txts to 9011. Rang O2 and they refunded me but if it keeps happening i'll have to get rid of my iphone.

When i rang O2 about it and the nice lady told me its due to:

"incompatibility with the iphone on the O2 pay as you go plans"

and basically warned me that

"if i continue to use iphone on a pay as you go plan i will continue to be charged for txt messages that i didn't even send to this number i've never heard of and that i won't be entitled to get any refund"

What a load of bulls**t
