Text not working correctly

Texts that are sent to me from an iPhone do show up in Messages App.

However, texts that come from non-iPhones do not show up.

Weird thing is, those texts will show up on my iPhone as well as my iPad, just not on my laptop

I tried logging out of iCloud and back in, but that doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Is your mobile phone number listed in the two places I marked in Messages preferences in OS X?

If not, try turning off Messages in OS X then turning it back on, and see if that adds it.

Yes, that is how it was set up.

I disabled again and re-enabled, so I'll see if that works.
