Text notifications while on the call (Annoying)

I have iPhone 14 Pro. it’s so loud when I get a text message while I’m on the phone with someone.

This never happened on my older iPhone’s as they will only vibrate if I'm on the call.

I called apple support and they couldn't find any setting that would put text and other notification on silent or lower the volume while on the phone call.

Is there a solution ?

The only "fix" is to remember to manually turn the mute switch on and off every time!!

I absolutely hate how Apple don't give us the option to mute the sound on all notifications when on a phone call. It is so backward it's crazy.

I have set up an auto-focus so that at least when I instigate a phone call then no apps are allowed to get through. The only problem is it doesn't work when somebody rings me even though both scenarios use the phone app. Typical half-arsed Apple integration.
