With all the "free" SMS software out there i just had to toss in Text+

works great. i can text any cell number and if they text me back it goes to text plus not my att text.

What does it look like to the other phone? Is it from a random series of numbers, or a text from an email, or what?

text+ is the one i have for if/when i get too close to my 200 texts!

i believe it shows random numbers to the recipient, though (which in my case is always only hubby... so it doesn't matter!)

we tried a couple others and they weren't reliable (messaged didn't go through a lot of times) with text+ every one i sent went through quickly and he replies back to me (into text+ were just as quick!)

You can set it up to show your name. If I send A text to a non text plus user they see "text + Joe smith".
It also gets set up that when they respond it goes to my text plus account.

It has been very fast almost real time on wifi and 3g. Have not use it on the edge network.
