I used textedit to create add ons to the game escape velocity: Nova when I was still opperating on OS 9.xx. WHat my question is, is there another program like textedit that runs on OS X?

One that comes to mind is Trans-Tex Software's Tex-Edit Plus. You may find other such applications at VersionTracker and MacUpdate.

I knew I had the name of the app wrong. It was called Resedit not textedit.
