Hi
Since the restore of my MacBook (had a HD crash) TextEditor will not open again (stops responding). I deleted the 6 preferences files, did not help. So I tried to replace it from the Time Machine backup with the terminal since he did not allow me to make any changes by hand.

sudo cp -Rv (source) (target)

now TE does not even try to start anymore.

Anybody have an Idea?

Thanks

Try downloading the last combo update from apple. Perhaps its a version issue that is preventing it from running.
