I'm sure this is a longstanding issue, but it's never tripped me up until now. I have a few Contacts (for businesses) with multiple phone nos. entered. I also have a running text thread with one of those numbers, and want to text a different no. (another employee's cell). When I initiate a "message" from within the Contact, I'm not asked which number I want to text – it defaults immediately to the open text thread. If I manually enter the number I want to text... it still ends up blending it into the existing text thread. So now I have convos with multiple employees in a single thread, with no way to see which number (person) sent or received any particular text in the thread.

Any way to work around this, other than creating a separate Contact for each number? Thx

I'll bump this because it's pretty annoying that there's no way indicator in iOS to show the different numbers as you're messaging them. There should at least be a toggle.

Another related thing is Facetime calling. If you Facetime a single contact it will ring every iPhone number and possibly every iPad and macOS email address that is listed under that contact. I don't know of a way around this so I've got multiple contact cards for a couple of people.
