Anyways all too often (either on iPhone or Mac) do I have problems texting Android users pictures. I get the "not delivered" error message and I often have to resort to emailing the pictures. I am on T-Mobile but I had the same problem on Sprint before I switched my SIM card to T-Mobile. Is this a issue with Androids in general or what is the problem? I have this problem both on WIFI and 5G and I think, well I don't know the source of the problem. Its not a iPhone 12 or IOS 14 problem because I also have it on my Mac running the latest Big Sur update so the problem may not be in apples hands, but may be a carrier issue, or an Android OS issue.

I do not always have the problem, but do experience it about 90% of the time when attempting to text android users pictures.

I also experience this often - maybe I am wrong - but - it seems like if the android user is out of the cell range and not connected to the cell network / or / perhaps has the phone shut off - then the messages and especially pictures, audio and videos don't seem to work and I get a red "non-delivered" message

Its annoying. I just had to email the Android users just know. At work its part of my job to take pictures and text them to certain people and I hate it when an employee chooses to use Android over IOS because of this problem.

Texting Android users means using SMS / MMS. Images get sent as MMS, which loads of carriers have already killed off in favor of stuff like RCS (at least outside of the US). It‘s in general a very unreliable communication method, there‘s probably nothing Apple can do about other than get off their high horse and add support for RCS sooner rather than later (which would greatly improve communication with Android devices).

SMS / MMS are sent over cellular. You being on wifi wont change anything or make it more reliable.

I am having to resort to using email because of this problem. At work I hate it when a employee chooses to use Android over IOS. Fortunately most employees choose IOS but one employee in particular is Android all the way. I think I am gonna start emailing him the pictures as Im am really getting tired of the "not delivered" error message I often get when texting him.

I have the issue too, because my network (carrier) are dickish about MMS. So I just send images over WhatsApp/Facebook Messenger or Signal.

This.
I don't know what kind of phone all my friends have. We all have different preferences. I always message with WhatsApp (as it's 50/50 with IOS/Android usage in the UK) If by some chance they're not on my WA list, I know they don't have it on their phone (like...NEVER) and then I'd just send it via iMessage.

Wont work in my situation. I am in a corporate work environment. People are not allowed to use third party software like that or FB.
