it should be right away. course once again I would call your carrier... either AT&T or who ever it is... How would we know? Besides.... I would take anything youget from this site with a grain of salt

well, it was done over the phone, and when i try and see how many i have, says not avilable until next billing cycle..so, i was hoping someone else on here has done the same thing..

It happened one of three ways. They backdated it to cover what you have already used. They did it on-demand (causing prorations on your next bill), or they future dated it to the beginning of the next bill cycle. Why are you asking us? A five minute phone call to AT&T will tell you exactly what/when it was changed.

As a former employee, if it says not available until next billing cycle, it usually means that it was changed. Online in the data tab it will say "Due to a recent change to your account..." Text away!!!

Psst. Let me tell you a little secret....

Call your phone carrier and ask them!

PROBLEM!
i should have stated, my name isn't on the contract, it's my dad, so i can't call.
and he said the lady added it to our plan, so i didn't know how long it took, that was the question..

Well, since your dad will be irritated if he has charges for you texting before it goes into place, either have him call or check online. Tell him you don't want him to get charged for messages that aren't on the plan. Unless you and your dad just don't communicate well?

Maybe he should send him a text to ask?

You could download the Att app from the app
store and go into your plan features and see if unlimited texting is checked.
