Running iOS 9.1. Everything was going fine until this afternoon. Suddenly all of my outgoing messages have been sent as a text message rather than an iMessage. Replies have appeared on my Apple Watch, but not my iphone. I tried to restart my phone and to toggle iMessages off and back on. Neither solved my problem. Suggestions?

I had this problem. I unpaired my watch and repaired. I used the backup that the phone made when unpairing. Issue was resolved after setting up the watch again. For whatever reason repairing the watch fixed the phone issue.
Mine will sometimes do this if the reception is bad on my Phone, somehow they will show up on my watch first, with no trace on the phone until it catches full reception and delivers them. If I reply from the watch the message I send shows on phone, but not initial received one.
