Apple did it right and lowered the price on RAM, it used to be $1000, now its $600, and the upgrade from 2gb used to be $730 or something, now its $400!!!
 
It's still four times as much as any sane person needs to pay.

but better, if someone wants to buy RAM from apple cuz they think its the best, and want the apple store to install it for them, it just got more worth it. I am still planning on buying from Crucial though, i wish apple could drop the prices more.
 
its about time that apple ram became a bit more comparable to other companies i have been looking at a mac pro and to get 32 gigs of ram is like $9000 why anyone would get that much let alone pay that much i dont know
 
Until..

Until they price the memory along with what others charge, then it'll always be too high and stupid to buy from them. IMHO. I could have bought the memory I need, an Apple TV 2 and an external storage device for $600. Maybe even buy a cheap suit.. dunno.. just plain overpriced.
