Updated this morning to the 2.0 software and now because the itunes store is terminally crashed my phone is bricked. My phone is not a toy. I need to be able to make and receive calls. I've already got people emailing me asking why I'm not responding to their calls. I'm pissed off.

I'm also pissed off that this thread got moved to a different subforum. I'm not asking for anyones HELP. I'm discussing a serious issue with the iphone. I swear the forum moderators here are ridiculous. I guess they have to make room in the main forums for the fanboy threads.

I'm guessing the mods here, after getting their knuckles rapped by Apple for posting the link to the update yesterday, are trying to make up for it. No one's allowed to rain on the parade in the main forum.

Just curious, but if its so critical for you to have your phone/email working - why would you do the upgrade so soon especially with all of the issues they've been having this morning?

Maybe because I assumed that the phone service that I pay a premium for would actually work. Am I supposed to assume that iphone updates won't work?

Having a phone that won't work if itunes is down is a terrible design. It's purely done for the interests of AT&T/apple to the detriment of the customer. If they can't prove that your phone is legitimate because their system is down, they would rather your phone be bricked than usable until they get their shi** working.

No, you don't have to assume that the iPhone updates wowouldn't work, but you could have spent a few minutes coming to this site and see there were issues and then made a decision to go forward. The day of the launch and all a few minutes of web surfing might've kept your phone working.

I'm not trying to be an @$$ or anything, I was just curious after reading the title to this thread I would have thought you went into the store they did the upgrade and bricked it..
