Starting this out as I am cooking for 40 in two days, I have a boatload of awesome excess including enough beer for an army, a roasted 25 lbs turkey, a deep friend turkey, a turducken, a backup roast turkey, and 15 lbs of grilled turkey legs.

Posted pics is Ponykeg of a special pumpkin ale homebrewed by one of my best friends as well as a 1/6 barrel of Sam Adams Boston Lager. 25 22oz bottles of Heavy Seas Greater Pumpkin, 15 bottles of Heavy Seas Great Pumpkin, 60 bottles of Great Lakes Christmas Ale, 6 bottles of Heavy Seas Letter of Marque, 6 bottles of Heavy Seas Plank 1, 24 bottles of Dogfish Head Punk'n Ale, and a variety of others. This truly is my favorite holiday.

Hate RAGE FACE HATE RAGE FACE!
How are you getting Great Lakes? Have they made it to DC yet? I want their Christmas Ale so bad!

No picks here really. Will go to the rum store and deep fry a turkey ... watch football and lounge with one hand in my shorts and the other around my beer. :D

I have contacts ;). Seriously though, I'm surrounded by really great liquor stores who I've made friends with who get me whatever I want. I was lucky to score a case of it at another store yesterday! And I think you mean this...

Yeah, Great Lakes is all over DC!

Nice haul there... great to see my locals, Heavy Seas and Flying Dog!

I picked up a couple handfuls of excellence tonight, but I can't post them all for fear of spoiling gifts.

I was ordered to bring some Saison to tomorrow's dinner and was able to find some really tasty ones, along with others. Plus bringing Pangaea, a Thanksgiving tradition!

That's a nice get. My guys are trying to lock up a couple cases of the Heavy Seas Below Decks Cabernet Barrel Aged beer...they're supposed to be extremely tricky to get, but I'm hunting for them in a week or so. Otherwise, Yule Tide Belgian Tripel is the one to find at the moment.

I thought my gingerbread brown ale would be ready early for thanksgiving. It needs to condition some more though.

Thanks to a generous internet friend in Chicagoland I am set to receive a 6 pack of Half Acre Daisy Cutter, a 6er of Founders Dirty Bastard, 6er of Bells Two Hearted, 6er of 3 Floyds Gumball Head and a 750 of Jolly Pumpkin La Roja.

It is supposed to be here today but the office closes at noon so... I hope it gets here otherwise I'll be forced to open my almost year old Stone Belgo Old Guardian, Boulevard Chocolate Ale, or some of my Real Ale Sisyphus (2007-2010) for a vertical.

Ah, I'm not a barleywine fan, so I can't say whether or not I've seen the Cabernet. Have definitely seen Yule Tide though.

As long as we're speaking of Christmas, I also nabbed this 1.5-liter (yes, it's large) bottle of Mikkeller Red/White Christmas spiced ale. Can't wait! Was quite surprised to find BrewDog's Old World Russian Imperial Stout, too (660 ml bottles). Will be great this winter.

I bet that will be good!

Nice ones. I'd love to get some more Three Floyds. I've "only" had their Dreadnaught IPA. Delicious. I enjoyed La Roja... hope you will too!

I love dirty bastard and Bell's two hearted is a classic around here!

Yeah, Churchkey seems to always have Two Hearted on tap. :D

Churchkey has damn near everything on tap, and I love that bar and go there all the time (less so now that Boundary Stone just opened half a block from me), but I rarely if every pay for beer at CK since the guys there usually take care of me. But I take care of them in return so everyone wins.

Thanks! I have had La Roja once before and it was great! I love any sour. So far tonight I've had a dirty bastard (really good) which was my second Founders beer, first one being in Chicago at Revolution Brewing was El Diablo del Noche.

Loved the Two Hearted and as usual, the Daisy Cutter. I usually only trade for or try to acquire the Daisy Cutter because it is just so damned good. It is going to be a good T-Giving!
