The 2010 iMac screen quality thread

In light of the reported screen problems affecting the previous 2009 revision, I thought it would be useful to establish a separate thread where current-gen owners can report on the quality of their screen.

(Mods, if you think this thread is redundant and would prefer all discussion remain in the existing thread, feel free to delete )

Good idea. Yellow tint, noisy LED drive board and HD noise are my concerns.

I'm going to bump this thread.

I went to my Apple store and they didn't even have the new machines set up. I got a previous gen almost 3 weeks ago and I need to know if I should complain because mine is pretty yellow in the bottom right. I don't want to exchange it if there is a chance of it still being just as bad or worse though.

I was also going to post a thread for iMac 2010.. wanted to see if it suffers from the yellow-tint issue or not.. I'm actually planning on getting the new 21.5" will be posting if it suffers from the issue or not.

+1 I agree I think the threads should be separate, otherwise it would make things more confusing..

If you post a picture to the 2009 thread you should be able to get an assessment as to how bad it is. Many people in that thread have been able to get refunds ultimately, which you could put toward a newer iMac should they turn out to be better.
