The 3.06Gh iMac I Bought Last Week...

I know I know I knew it would happen but I just could not wait anymore. So it's going back. I'm eating crow and the 10% RSF and knew it could happen and here I am. I thought for sure I'd just swap out for the updated high end iMac no questions asked. But man all of a sudden that mac mini is all growns up! Max the high end one out AND grab that sweet new 24" LED Display and still come in under $2,000.

These Mini's really have me wondering and although I think I'll need that HD4850 in the long run, I'm curious if anyone has used their mini's as media servers running 24 / 7 ?

I work in an advertsing agency, and we use a mac mini as a 24/7 media server...

( and I turned it off last week, not being aware of this... now there's a "DO NOT TURN IT OFF' post it on it )

If you bought it at the store, you may be surprised. Get in there ASAP and tell them you just bought it and want to return it to buy a new model. I bought mine Sunday and the manager didn't charge me the restock. He said "it's the right thing to do." I didn't even ask him to waive it, he just did.

Arrrrgh I so want to get in there but I'm at the Mayo Hospital in Minnesota as my mother is having open heart surgery! My Apple Store in Milwaukee Wisconsin (2 hours south of where I actually live in Green Bay!) is pretty cool. I should be able to get in there day after tomorrow and that will only be 10 days since I bought it. Here is to hoping they are cool as well! Thanks for the note Randy! And to the guy who uses the mini as media server I see myself adding a mini to the "family" very soon.
