The happy ones are just flooding MacRumors and other related forums to tell us all about them.
Actually, there are some, but for the most part, folks on forums are not representative of the user base as a whole.
They're the enthusiastic ones who love to share their knowledge (or lambast others for lack thereof, depending on what you're reading at any given time), but again, they're the vocal minority. In so many cases, the ANONYMOUS vocal minority.
Apple is talking to their pro users and finding out what they want to see. That's fact.
Whether or not their vision ultimately aligns with the average pro user remains to be seen.
I for one think it will make a lot of sense for the pro user to migrate to the new platform, but it's going to bump a lot of users who would have previously considered a Mac Pro down to an iMac, a Mac Mini, a Hackintosh, or even a non-Apple platform. And that's ok.
We have choice, and Apple is not going to be dictated to by the vocal minority. That much has been proven over and over and over again. They're going to be dictated by wallets opening or not. And so far, last I checked, they're NOT hurting for cash. The Mac Pro is such a niche relative to the bulk of what they now sell, it's not going to make or break their company.
