I decided to pick one up today and using it is such a freaking pleasure. I got the 17 Pro Max at launch, but wanted another line just for personal use (at least that’s what I’m telling myself). Using this thing with no case is a breath of fresh air. It’s not perfect but man do I love it.

iPhone X was the last time I held a phone and genuinely felt impressed until the Air now. Tech just feels so bloated after the spec war, so it’s nice to have a breather and get back to design again.

Gives me hope they can make something elegant for the 20th edition.

Agreed, I got one for a week, returned it, and missed it so got it again yesterday.

I loved using it without a case but I actually prefer it with a case. I got a Grecazo slim fit and it adds a nice bit of grip with no bulk, plus comes with a handy ring on a very small loop, which has been really helpful at stopping it slipping and adds some anti-theft protection.

Would you be willing to have the Air as your only phone? I see so many people saying they’re using it as a second phone.

Is an incredible phone to look at and hold. The cameras were also not to bad either. Still sticking with my IPhone 17 pro max though.

I'm hanging on to mine, but am really hoping Apple adds a second camera (telephoto) for Air 2 next year.

Sony has the IMX09E sensor handy that's 200MP. Theoretically, if Apple uses that sensor in iPhone Air 2, they can just design a lens to cover about 96% of the sensor.

That means they can go 2 routes:

1. Give the phone a 13mm lens. This means the phone can easily do:
Ultrawide: 24-48-192MP
26mm: 24-48MP
52mm: 12MP
Technically 104mm at 3MP if we would like to have that.
Plus Macro. Full set of features with just one lens on top of the sensor. And it's bigger than the current Air sensor to boot. So win-win.

2. Alternatively, start at 20mm. Not ultra wide but we can then have the following:
20mm: 24-48-192MP
40mm: 24-48MP
80mm: 12MP
Or maximum 160mm at 3MP
And then we get telephoto with just one lens. Sadly no ultrawide nor Macro.

Personally, I think #1 is more likely. But I suspect Apple may not want to give us a massive camera bump so "soon". So we shall see. Also designing a sharp lens for 192MP is super hard. But then again, if they can pull it off, I think it will even justify a price bump for the next Air.

I agreed I got the air my self and I love it what do you think about the new C1X modem

Some saying not as good as 17 pro’s?
Nevere mind the haters the haters are always going to say something negative about something to me the C1X modem is this about the same if not maybe a little better then the x80 modem in the iPhone 17 models - the m5mwave for me wish is not a big deal has I don't live in a big cities that I would need it for

The haters are all so forgetting that the C1 and C1X modem are the new kids on the block so there is room for Apple to make improvements in the next modem

The more important things is what do you think of the C1X nevere mind what the haters and negativity reviews are what your apending on it

So if the 17 pro modem is actually better than the C1X how will you know? According to you pro users are haters!

If there are two drawbacks for me they are, the camera, and the speakerphone. I talk on speakerphone a lot and the speaker on this phone definitely could be better. It's usable, but it's certainly not as powerful as the other phones in the lineup. The Camera is what it is. It's not terrible, but it's certainly a step down in terms of quality from Apple's other phones, including previous generations.

That being said, I still love it and find myself reaching for it over the 17 Pro Max constantly. Maybe the newness will wear off, but right now I'm absolutely loving it.

The only real drawback is the mono speaker. No question about it. It sucks. Call quality is sacrificed because of it, even at max volume the audio is just too low/weak.

I meant X71 - my bad. According to this, the Pro Amex used the X75?
