According to the keynote, they already used the much touted 'Brick' manufacturing process to build the Air.

Why wasn't it touted as 25% of the keynote at that time? What makes it worth 25% of a press event now?

The air was already revolutionary for a myriad of other reasons, whereas the main difference in these notebooks is the manufacturing process.

In other words, these new MacBooks are essentially more like the revolutionary MacBook Air, and that's what was stressed at the keynote.
