I want an app to organize my raw home video footage. I know I don't have the HD space to store it all on my PB so it has to be lean. So, here goes it . . .
I would like to be able to connect my video camera hit a button and have it record either the first frame or first few seconds of each clip, the start and end time of the clip, the date and any other relevant information the camera provides. After doing so it would fast-forward the camera to the next scene and repeat the process. This app would look something like a cross between iTunes, iPhoto, and iMovie. It would have both a thumbnail view of all clips like iPhoto and a column view like iTunes.
Then when I want to make a video I don't have to go searching through all my old tapes. I can open up iClip (c'mon iMovie is already taken?), look through my clips in thumbnail mode, search by keyword, or date, or even rating. Switch over to colmun view and I can see the clip's length, size (I may have taken it with my digital camera), the clip's name, and the tape it is on.
If there is something already like this please let me know.
