The Apple AV Connector - what's it good for?

So, I just picked up an Apple AV connector, thinking that I could connect it to my plasma and watch videos on it.

So far, I haven't found anything on my iPod touch that can pass video to my tv, only audio.

WTF?

Has anyone had this adapter work with ANYTHING?

I'm about to just return it and get my money back!
