I am trying to purchase an IPP 2020. If I say monthly payments to Apple Store App on my iPhone won’t allow me to add monthly AC. What do I need to do to work around this ?

This is about your already existing situation, right?

Yes. I was not able to add AC+ When having monthly payments. What do I do?

I called Apple to order through them, which did not solve the problem. I could only do monthly payments if I took out AC+ from the order.

You have 60 days to sign up for AppleCare+ after activating the iPad. I just do it directly from Settings -> General.

Caveat, accessories (Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, etc) are not covered this way.

@rui no onna if you do this through settings->general, do you have the option of monthly? Do you need to run diagnostics?

You have 60 days (?) after purchase to add AC+, so plenty of time to call Apple and get this sorted out.

I would rather NOT CALL Apple, if I can help it. You have to get agreement administration on the call and that could take a long time. Are there alternatives?

Yep, you can choose either 2 years or monthly. It’s super easy. No diagnostics required.

I just checked and it shows AC+ coverage under Settings -> General -> About.

Hmm. Went through it right now and it gives monthly option with Apple Card. but I didn’t go all the way through. Are you choosing monthly AC option?

You can purchase AppleCare + through your Settings/General/About, then choose AppleCare+ coverage available. You should have a choice to pay with a 24 month payment plan.

Already mentioned twice in this thread. You can purchase AppleCare + through your Settings/General/About, then choose AppleCare+ coverage available. You should have a choice to pay with a 24 month payment plan.

I will do that when the iPad Pro arrives.

Here's the screenshot of Settings - General - About on one of our iPads immediately after setup.

Looks like you need a new iPad. Yours is about to be MacRumors worthless on 11/11/20. :p
Nah, it's on AC+ now. I actually took that since I wanted to see how much storage is available out of the box.

That one's my dad's. His iPad 5 was wifi-only and he needed LTE for an overseas trip so I upgraded him to the iPad 7 LTE. Funnily enough, he went back to using the 5. Said it was easier to use (smaller and lighter). :p
