I have not started anything yet, but on my list of ideas I have an idea for "The Artist Lookup".

For just $4.99, you can find your favorite artists and lots of information about them. Bois, discography, song listing and photo galleries on hundreds of popular musicians!

I don't have any time to develop this at the time but maybe later on in the year. If anyone wished to use my idea just let me know :)

For this app, no more than $.99, and even then, it could be free. It would be just as convenient to use google, wikipedia or any other search site, and plus, most of that stuff is available for free online already.

True but this would contain info from all of the sites you find on google including wikipedia. Also other features like buying tickets to their shows and links to youtube videos would be included.

type: "music: <insert artist, song or album here>" into google and you get plenty of info.

You see now, comments like yours seriously piss me off. You actually think that the avg. joe using an iPhone will google music: <insert artist, song or album here> instead of launching an app with a customized interface and an easier to understand GUI. I am not saying that 5 bucks for such an app is worth it or not but coming in here (posting on a mac forum) to say it is easier to google than use an app that you didn't even see yet is ridiculous.
