Yeah I know this may be a bit late but I thought I'd have figured it out by now.

Can anyone explain what the bars represent in the weather app next to each day of the week? I've tried guessing lots of things but none of them seem to correspond to reality. And never found a support document explaining.
 
Visual of temperature range for the day. Basically same as the attached image on the full-screen view.

Dot on the bar represents current temperature.

Wow. Thanks a lot. Did not see that coming at all. Will now spend some time "using it" and trying to decide if it's useful or not. Wonder how many other folks were confused?
