I love how after hearing everyone bitching the whole day how "the Beatles on iTunes is pointless" and that "everyone already has their albums on cd..blah blah blah..."
yet looking at the iTunes top 200 songs and top album charts,
the Beatles are dominating. All 17 albums released are in the top 50, and as far as top 200 songs they're just all over that list with too many songs to count. So as usual, another day another over hyped Apple announcement, a bunch of idiots on the internet complaining like Apple owes them something.. and of course their predictions are always dead wrong and their reactions always ridiculous... do I even need to bring up the 2001 iPod announcement thread? because that ones is just hilarious.

PS: A Beatles edition iPod would cool, I can't believe they didn't make one.

People get really fired up when it comes to Apple. There's a lot of weirdos out there... :D

I think the iPod is too old now to make another special edition. There's only so many generations of what is essentially the same thing under the skin (a storage device with flash memory) before sales just completely evaporate.

I think some sort of beatles edition iPhone or iPod touch that came preloaded with the box set would have went well with the release.

Heheh there surely are weirdos out there. But I agree ... there is only that much bandwidth left for special editions!

Well put.

There's a lot of ignorant haters out there (and on MacRumors) who seem to think the world values their opinion.

This is why the average Macrumors or any tech site reader isn't calling the shots and just reading about them.

Yes

Pretty sure they sell hundreds of millions of those things. I bet a beatles special edition would sell like crack.
