wikipedia's article on the 170

has an external link to the Special Edition LPGA Benetton Model

but, that source says

which, when run through google translate yields

Power Book 170 Special Edition
This model is the same as the PowerBook 170 sold in general in terms of specs, but only 500 units were sold in commemoration of Apple Computer's special sponsorship of the JLPGA (Women's Professional Golf Tournament) held in 1992. Its colorful design was also called the Benetton model, but it has nothing to do with the actual BENETTON company.

thinly sourced, and badly translated, perhaps.

Absolutely beautiful!

I would love to see them do some more special edition Macs, or bring back some color into the offerings.

Bring back Flower Power and Blue Dalmatian. Really though Apple needs some whimsy again.
I agree, there appears to be no thinking 'out-of-the-box' these days with stunning, jaw-dropping designs and or colour-schemes. I have both G3 Flower Power & Dalmation, which took me over 2 years to find. A great complement to the G4 Cube which was a truly amazing engineering and design accomplishment, albeit a commercial failure.
