I just finished purplera1n, and now have Cydia with all sources.

So far i've downloaded Cydelete, MakeitMine, Logome, Mxtube, BossPrefs, Backgrounder and iFML.

3GS is my first iPhone so im new to Cydia, can you tell me some good apps to get off Cydia (apart from Winterboard), maybe a short description so i know what it does.

My favourite so far seems to be backgrounder.
Do stuff in the background

Thanks.

Sbsettings to control my brightness, kill apps through processes and to hide apps.

I then use spotbright to search for my hidden apps and launch them.

Categories is nice. It lets your create folders/categories to put your apps in. I also like Status Notifer. It puts a notification icon in the status bar for incoming sms, emails, etc. :)

status notifier doesn't work in 3.0, for me at least.

Oh I should have mentnioned that- the actual icon (like to adjust settings) does NOT open in 3.0. However, the notifier itself does work. I get all of the notifications. You just can't adjust any settings currently so you have to use it as is (which is all notifications on) :D

how Do I get 123spoof for free?

also are there anymore sbsettings addons that are not in cydia, I need to add sources?
which settings are they

Descriptions please..

Categories - application folders
StatusAlert - adds icons to the status bar for SMS, Email, Ringer
Winterboard - Themer
Cyrecorder - Video recorder
PDAnet - tethering
SBSettings - various settings when you swipe the status bar

notifier 3.0 works very very well so far with my jb 3gs 3.0! tons of options too!

memtool is a must for any iPhone. I use it on my 3GS and it beats the stupid apps from the app store because it simply
closes down any unnecessary processes running in the backround like safari or mail. Search for it in cydia and download it.... I always use it before playing a game and I rarely have to reboot.

when you click clean the first time it tells you how much memory was freed. If you click it a second time or more, it gives the Japanese popup. It probably tells you something like it can't free anymore, which is why the other button takes you to the processes so you can kill specific ones.

so after I hit clean then ok,then close on the popup the job is done?
