Name the best thing you think has come out since 2000. Anything: technology, music, people, food, fads--whatever.

I, personally, think the best thing that's come out since 2000 is pretty unanimous.
Mac Os X, obviously. ;)

Since 2000? Hmm. I'd probably say the Wii. It's cheap enough to develop for and has given me the most gaming funs since console gaming started to stagnate in the late 90's.

That and cheap Digital SLRs.

iPod/iTunes
Why.... "It changed the whole Music Industry" Steve Jobs, MacWorld 2007

I think that the ipod and itunes would probably be it for me. The ease that apple allowed people to download digital music has evolved into movie downloads and the general delivery of digital content. We now have streaming movie devices and other products that stem from this content delivery system and this type of trend will continue to develop into the future.

iPod/iTunes because it revolutionized the music industry.
Cheap DSLRs because they made photography accessible.
Broadband internet access because it connects people.

I can't decide between those.

Actually I might say the iPod too :D
I grew up on long driving holidays where all I had was the Beano and a car full of sleeping siblings. Now when I travel I just carry my iPod and maybe a DS or PSP and I'm sorted.
iPod has really transformed travel for me.

iPod...

OSX...

I guess even XP to a degree...

Cell Phones becoming more multi-functional (I guess)...

Youtube...

Advances of the internet...

The album "Absolution" by Muse ;) ...

Chavs... (ok, maybe not that one)

The best thing (so far) occurred on Jan. 1, 2000, the date when Y2K proved to be a non-event, thus eliminating any doubt that the people who believed the Y2K bug would bring about the end of civilization were complete and utter idiots.
