120Hz SONY Micro-OLED!
Adjustment upto -5.00 for myopia! So no need for prescription lens.
Support for multiple virtual displays in glasses.

There are tons of review on Youtube and this one is specifically for Mac.

I seriously think Apple miss the mark for not coming up with a portable glasses like this first!

If Apple came up first with this product, even if they jack up price a little say $600-$700 bucks, it would likely be another personal computer revolution like how Apple always like to brag, and it could be another hotcake like when they first launched their iPad.

Laptops would all become obsolete in no time. No one ever needs a laptop with a display. The new form of PC or Mac would be computers built into a foldable battery-powered keyboard where you could always carry in a pocket and plug a glass on the go.

Definitely not in the same class. Not saying there isn't a market for it, but make sure you know what you're buying.

For a glass that does not cover your entire face, I seriously doubt 4k resolution is needed.

Again if Apple could come up with a portable glass like this and not a bulky VR headset, with their tech research resource they could easily have some kind of higher res panel inside the glass. Although I doubt 4K hi-res is necessary for a consumer product at this point.

These aren’t even remotely comparable products….

Christ, it’s not even the best “these glasses are screens” product out there…

That is an opinion, it is not fact. There could be a market for this, but I think a lot of VP users will agree this is a deal breaker.

A 1080p resolution is basically the same as the Oculus Go, one of Facebook's earliest VR headsets. These limitations make it a very distinctly different product to the Vision Pro. It's really not an alternative.

This would be an immediate deal breaker for me - 1080p that close to my eyeballs is terrible resolution.

low res trash🥱

it was a deal breaker for me (I've owned a couple of these birdbath glasses) -- until I got a Vision Pro and realized the the available 3D movies/spatial videos top out at about 1080p per eye. Yes Apple Immersive Video (and 8K 3D 180 VR video in general) are beyond these glasses but there's so little of that content available (besides porn). I wouldn't use these glasses as a display for a computer but they are much more comfortable than the vision pro for casual content available today

That actually looks like a good product, I wonder though how the 1080p would look compared to the 4K that the AVP has. I'm not sure why people are obsessed with the multi desktop thing when you can just make your display bigger to fit more windows. The whole multi screen thing was with physical screens. You could add on to an existing setup by buying another screen. There is no reason for a pretend divider of desktop. Now we just make the digital screen bigger. Which is another reason why 4K might be better for this use.

It's a significant difference. A 1080p TV looks fine because you're looking at it from a distance so you only see it in a small portion of your eyesight - you can't see the pixels.

Once 1080p is right next to your eyeballs and fills your vision, every pixel will be much more obvious.

4K is effectively 4 times the number of pixels of 1080p, because both length and height are double, and 2 times 2 = 4.

I'm not asking if 4000 is bigger than 1000. A child could tell you that. I'm asking if people could actually tell the difference. To do that you would need to test the product first. This product is mainly for viewing a computer desktop screen which might need all the extra pixels.

Subjective, but that is what I meant by this part:

It's pretty objective that the pixels will be larger. It is... somewhat to taste if you feel the larger pixels are noticeable. Again, not saying there isn't a market for it - make sure you know what you're buying before committing.

I already have the AVP so I was just curious to what this could offer. It would probably be less noticeable in public since wearing the AVP in public draws a lot of attention which sometimes can be a setback. I am happy with my AVP. I think the worst thing about the AVP is the physical design. I like the way it looks and feels but it definitely stands out in public. So though I personally like the way it looks its just very noticeable and at this point in time it has not become common place to wear in public. Even though I still do lol. I like the idea of these because when I use the AVP in public it is almost always to just use it with my MacBook Pro for the Mac Virtual Display. I do all the other stuff in private.

Yes I agree with the physical design, definitely would not use it in public - it's also a tempting target to grab off your head and run off with.

It would be nice to have actual AR glasses from Apple. They do talk about "spatial computing" but that feels like a very indoor office / professional use case.

I think for a HUD style application 1080p is good enough - it's only when it's replacing a large sections of my vision that I'm skeptical if the resolution will work well.
