That is a purty computer. For some reason I still like the white better. Don't know why since I like black ipods better.

the white MacBooks certainly have there charm. although, i wanted the prestige of an apple computer with the wearability of a pc. i feel the black MacBook will wear much better then the white one.

The keyboard is wierd on a Macbook, I tried one out in local Apple Store, and it just felt strange. How is it for prolonged periods and every day usage?

Is it difficult to keep the Black Macbook clean? I'm really leaning towards the black, but the only thing holding me back from it are the grease/fingerprint marks and random dust that would be easily visible. I'm a clean freak, and that would drive me nuts! Plus, any weird noise coming from yours? I bought a white macbook when they first came out, and had to return it because of the moo. Now I'm looking at to buy again. ANy input would be appreciated, thanks!

It's still a laptop keyboard, but I do like it better than the keyboard on my Powerbook G4.

Finger prints can get pretty bad depending on whether you eat around your macbook and/or have a sweat gland problem. I think I clean mine off once a week with my micro fiber cloth. However, there is a circle on the trackpad that won't come off no matter what, its like a slightly shiny spot in the center from usage.

The latest revisions supposedly don't have a moo. My moo is gone, but thats due to thermal goo reapplication which most would not want to do.

I love the black Macbooks. I go to visit one in CompUSA every so often. The only thing keeping me from buying one is the graphics card. I don't actually do anything that requires a dedicated graphics card, but I don't like the idea of automatically having -80mb RAM. That's the only issue I have. Otherwise, I'm constantly tempted to buy.
However, I think the MBP with a C2D is the direction I'm taking...

I'm having a lot of trouble in my room with dust thanks to the carpet in my room. my gaming rig is all black and it's terrible with all the dust on it, so I'm sticking with the white one, besides I still like white.
I do think the white cables look good though, black is so ordinary...

Mine does the same thing, but every dark-colored trackpad I've ever seen has the same look to it. I'd imagine the finger-rubbing either embeds oils from the skin into the plastic, or gradually polishes the part of the trackpad that is used the most. Unrelated, but I still kind of wish trackpads or pointing sticks were still options....

Anyway, I wipe my black MacBook down a couple times a week with a damp cloth, then rub it dry with one of those microfiber cloths. Takes care of fingerprints no problem. If anyone needs one, I got the microfiber cloths at walmart, labeled "polishing cloths" in the automotive section. (They work great on freshly waxed paint, too, keep them separate though...)

That's one thing that swayeed me against getting a black macbook, because of the fact that none of the accessories match :-/ Apple should really change that.

agreed... whenever i see fingerprints i get the microfiber out and they are gone.... i got the spot on the trackpad as welll... then got one end of the microfiber cloth damp... wiped down the trackpad and then buffed it with the dry side and wallah... all gone :)
