Everyone with a new MBP that arrived with (or has since developed) a QC problem (whether it's something that warrants a return, or is just a nuisance that can be tolerated) is encouraged to post their experience here. Well it was faulty straight out of the box... weird... it like the space bar was stuck down (except the key looked fine), it kept making the cursor scroll across the screen whenever a text field was active. Sounds a bit trivial compared to dead pixels and moo's and whine's etc, but it makes the laptop completely unusable!
After 15min on the phone with apple they declared it DOA.
Estimated turn around time for a new CTO 2.33 with the 160G HDD is 15 days. I nearly went for an off the shelf 2.33 ("it will ship within 24 hrs of notice of collection of your MBP sir") ... it was very tempting - I want my precious now !
Oh I thought about taking it to a service centre to get the keyboard looked at, but i was told there was a two week wait for service
