Has anyone else noticed that the rumor mill is particularly quiet with regards to MWSF?

We do have a couple of predictions, but apart from those it seems like that's about it. Could something spectacular be in the works, like the iPod Video?

Waaay too early yet, wait till after Christmas.

The good rumours (the really fun and outlandish ones) don't normally come in until about a week to 5 days before the event.

There's a few bit's and bobs of speculation about, mainly concerning Intel Macs :)rolleyes: they'll come when they come). My prediction list:

- iLife '06 (general upgrade, universal binary, no price change)
- iWork 2 (including updates to Pages and Keynote and a new simple spreadsheet app)
- Early sneak-peek at 10.5 (showing some very cool features)
- iTunes Music Store and iPod news (lots of $$$ coming in from sales blah blah blah)
- Discussion of how transition is going, more details on 3rd party progress (lots of boring important people in suits talking about their products)
- New Airport Express supporting streaming of H.264 video up to 1000kbps.
- New shuffle, same capacity, higher battery life, smaller form factor, available in black, box goes from green to black like the other iPod boxes.

One more thing....

Intel Mac mini.

I think 10.4.4 could be just a little update and released before the end of the year. Now 10.4.5 could be a while off after that and herald the new Intel Macs in proper, meanwhile my rumoured Intel mini would be running a special build of 10.4.4

Yeah it does seem a little quieter compared to last year. By this same time the rumors of G5 PBs, Tiger and other things possibly being announced at MWSF where extremely frequent. Perhaps this year there isn't as much to expect seeing as most products have recently seen upgrades and major details of the intel switch are more likely to come later in the year.

Someone should start another "G5 PBs next Tuesday" thread to get things started. :D
