For some odd reason, whenever I set the time the clock keeps moving ahead by 2 minutes and maybe more. For example, If I set it for 5:15 after a week or two of use it will say be ahead by 2 minutes like 5:17 . If I keep it more it will even go on further.

This does not happen on my iPhone. What seems to be the problem. I do not set the time based on location or automatically.

"I do not set the time based on location or automatically."

Set the Mac to keep time updated automatically, and your problems will be over.

Yes
I've got 3 Macs at home that Never see the internet, and only a picture of a leaf in the cloud, but I let the ones that do use auto time.
The clock chips on Macs are not very good.
You could set up a system task to run once a week and turn them back 120 seconds.
That wouldn't give away your time zone, but neither would it be very accurate over the long haul.

Your phone is giving away your location...unless you don't keep it with you.

Ah, for the good ole days when we could remove the battery from our "flippers" so THEY couldn't track us.

Never did know who THEY were...
