Hi All.

I am at the end of my tether with mobile me at the moment, I am finding my mail is def not being pushed through to my devices and that it will sit there idling to connect for a long time.

I reset iphone and re-put in account etc and still having the same problem

I want a email address that is Imap, reliable and has push email.

Can anyone suggest a reliable push email and contacts etc.

Thanks Em

Gmail is fetch, not push, unless you set it up as an exchange account.

Fetch means that you can either manually check for it, or it will check for you in intervals of 15 min or so.

I also would recommend Gmail.

In iOS it is trivial to set it up as an exchange account, and then it is push. With mail pushed to my iPhone, it doesn't matter how often my email client checks for mail, because my phone tells me when I've got new stuff.

I just had MobileMe senior support in my email for 2 weeks working on a push problem. The good news is it hasn't stopped working since Saturday!! That is a record. They closed the case and will reopen if they hear from me it stops again.

I'd suggest calling them if you want.

For my needs, handling 80 emails a day or so, nothing beats Google Apps & Services.

Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Tasks, Contacts, Reader, You name it, Google does it, and does it really well.

Love to but they don't have phone support on MM just online.

Or did that change recently, mine stopped pushing 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Are you going to stick with @me.com due to all these problems or are people going to change?

I just wonder how bad its going to work once everyone goes to icloud/me that it is going to get worst :(

What to do!!

Wish hotmail worked on mac mail like imap without mbox but that would take a miracle to occur

From your iPhone, click on the App Store. Search for "Google Search". That app does more than just search, yet it's not obvious from the description. Just download it (free) and then you will see that it has both search and all the apps (tasks included). It's a very cool app that works very well.

Then click on the link below, it will take you to instructions on how to activate imap and a free Google exchange account which will sync everything as push. It works really well. I've had zero issues.

Hmmm, I got there in a convoluted way.

I would start a chat session and ask for it to be looked into - Customer Relations can help if that doesn't get anywhere. I will mention having heard of others with the same problem when I talk to them next time.

I had a funky glitch yesterday and they are reopening the case.

Around the time mine quit, my mom was having issues with her calendar syncing, and they moved my email from one server to another and lost it all for 2 weeks.

It is still wayyyyy better right now that it was, but i was told yesterday the goal IS perfection, and so they will keep plugging away until they reach it.
