It seems that every other device similar to the ATV2 can handle 1080p including the Boxee, Roku, Intel's new widget, etc... How long until Apple finally breaks down and gives us 1080p? I bet we'll have to wait until next September, they will then make us spend another $99 for that 'revolutionary new' feature.

That's just silly. Apple has never made you buy anything. If you find other products that do a better job, you should buy those.

OMG!!! Is has been discussed a million times here and in many parts of the Internet. THERE IS A REASON WHY APPLE OPTED FOR 720p instead of 1080p.

Why do you care when apple will give is 1080p ? It's obvious the Apple Tv is not for you, buy a different product.
