Developers have been waiting for 1 to 2 to 3 weeks for Apple to accept their updated app or their new app. If you look at iTunes, there are tons of new apps along with many apps with updates.

But why do they update everything in 1 day?

what are you talking about? there have been updates and new apps every weeknight for the past week or so.

If you go into all iPhone Applications, the first 6 pages are from July 29 or later. And the first 10 pages are from July 28 or later. That is 1/5 of the Applications in the App Store.

They definitely have released a lot of stuff over the last 2 days. I can't even imagine how crowded the App Store is going to be in 6 months or a year since its already this big.

While there may have been more than usual the past couple of days, they have been adding apps every day of the week except Sunday.

as i was saying, there have been updates almost every weeknight for the past week. now, to continue with your train of logic and to back up what i am saying, continue further back and there are about 9 pages from July 23 to July 28. so re-read my previous statement.

your original post ended with, and i quote, "But why do they update everything in 1 day?". so i corrected you.

There've been updates and new releases everyday, it's not like this is THE update day. I don't get what the fuss is about...

I am just saying that it has taken a very long time for apps to be updated. I have talked to developers that have been waiting for up to 3 weeks for their app to be updated. All four of their apps were on the App Store on Tuesday.

There have been updates to the AppStore every day (throughout the day) except Sundays since the 2.0 launch.

Just looks to me like they're just finally getting caught up on their backlog.

They really need to sort out the App Store.

Often updates show up on the iPod but not in iTunes for me (and I don't update on the iPod, 'cause it tends to cause problems when I sync them back to my Mac) and today I can see that there's an updated version of "Boom!" in the Store, but it's not showing up when I check for updates in iTunes or on my iPod.

Yeah. They need to sort that out. When that happens, I just download it again. For example, there's an update to Labyrinth LE. Neither my Touch nor iTunes detected it, so I just downloaded it again.
