The Dig: Can't load game

Hi,

I just tried to resume my game in The Dig and nothing happens. I can select the saved game from the Open box (and can see the thumbnail of the room I was in) but when I click Open it just doesn't load (no error message). Has anyone else run into this?

Its been converted to OS X format, and is part of the Lucas Arts Adventure Pack in Steam.

I'm afraid I cannot comment on the problem though, because I completed Dig ages ago on DOS and have no desire to play it again.

No issues here. You'd probably have better luck on the Steam forums.

I looked on the Steam forums and couldn't find anyone else with the problem. I then contacted support (which was a mission in itself) and they told me that my save file may be corrupted. "May" was an interesting word to use, since I attached the save file... they obviously didn't test it!

So now it looks like I need to restart from the beginning. Sigh.

I wasn't too far in, and I know how to solve the puzzles now, so I think I'll be OK. Thanks for the offer though
