When using multiple desktops (or even Fullscreen apps), is there a way to remove the dock on the additional desktops, other than just hiding it? I'm always bumping into it while I'm editing.

Move the dock to the right or left instead of the bottom and it will go to the left most (or right most) monitor thus giving you a full monitor to work on. This can be done in Dock preferences (system preferences->Dock)

Hey, thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I should have been more clear. I'm not using a second monitor. I'm on a 15inch rMBP, all by itself : )

OK, so I opened mission control, and clicked in the top right corner to create another desktop. So now I have Desktop 1 and Desktop 2. I assigned a couple apps to, when opened, appear only on Desktop 2. I'm looking for a way to remove the dock from Desktop 2, so that I'm not constantly bumping into it.

Thanks again for your help.
