Let me introduce you to the whole situation I face up.
I use dreamweaver for years. I know about web design, I construct several sites, semi-professional work.
Sometimes, some friends of mine come to me and tell me: 'I want just a simple site, no dynamic content, just a few pages to present myself and what I am doing'.
I have some web templates in my hard disk and I think dreamweaver has too.
But, when we talking about making a simple site for a friend, I want the whole process to be as fast as possible (time is money), I will not ged paid at all (I cannot accept money from them).
Even dealing with pre-made templates wants from you to spare time and devote many hours.
I wonder what is the easiest way to create a simple site, just few pages linked with each other.
I told you the situation. They want the simplest web presence and I have to do it for free.
So, if I could do it in an hour, it would be great for me!
No time to spend hours and making calls etc.
Even the customizations of templates want many hours. This is my experience.
Is there any application that would drive me through a wizard to fill some elements and construct automatically the whole site?
I have heard of some of these applications (maybe windows only) that guide people to construct sites like these all alone without needing any previous experience. Some web designers complain about their existence (losing web jobs) but sometimes like in my occasion it would be very helpful.
I have also heard of online sites that offer such wizards in order to host site to them, but I would like an offline application and be free to do the hosting wherever my friends want.
Can you suggest me such applications or procedures?
