Why is it when news publications refer to the history of Apple's successes, they always neglect the original iMac? I'd like to think it's just as significant as the iPod...

But if not for the success of the iMac (it returned the company to profitability for the first time in 5 years), I don't think Apple would have the capital to develop or established user base to accept the iPod when it was first released.
