If you haven't checked out Flickr lately, it's been improved a bunch.

There are new storage limits and such, mainly benefitting new users. But they've lifted some limits on Pro members, although that category is no longer available. But you can continue if you have it.

And there are better views and online tools. The iPhotoish timelines are nice.

But the really freaky thing is Magic View. It automagically groups not only landscapes, people etc, but breaks those down, to like landscape-sunset and people-children. It gets a lot wrong, of course (although it ID'd a twentyish friend of mine as a child, which is actually more accurate than they could know...especially given he's acting like one in the photo. Scary). It found lots of dogs, cats, buildings, mountains, etc. Even it's misses were sort of interesting (like the "monuments" in Monument Valley area winding up in "buildings").

Check it out; it's a big improvement.

I had a look at this yesterday. It's certinly clever, though it made quite a few mistakes. I have Birmingham Central library listed as a bicycle!

Maybe it is critiquing your photo trying to tell you something... :) joke!

Is this only on the web version?

AFAIK only web, and only your own photos. Seems that it also sort of arranges your photostream to clump some similars together. It put stuff that is just junk at the tail end of mine, but maybe that's just a date coincidence.

Go all the way down to the "styles" section; like having your own critique. But actually really useful to have "depth of field" and "black and white" separated out. Wish there was a way to translate that into a Lightroom collection or something.
