"useless and only give people a false sense of security"?? Do you travel much and drive in unfamiliar cities? Wouldn't you like an app that will alert you of traffic and re-route you and give you a voice command when your exit or turn is coming up so you don't pass it and have to double back? Would you like to have a really good ETA so that you can let someone know when you're going to show up after a two hour drive? I had Telenav on my Blackberry and it was great. No false sense of security. I travel a lot and when I'm in a rental car in a new city, believe me there was nothing false about it!
(and yes, it did pull all of the info ota and ran great in the background when I got a phone call.)
Yeah, well the G1 is ugly and the iPhone isn't. A software update can't fix an ugly phone.

For a new calculator or faster way to buy from iTunes right?
... and hope that the functionality isn't something that ends up being only available to those that pick up the (presumed) new version of the phone then (like the GPS was to those with non-3G phones). This is not a surprise. None of us who currently own an iPhone should be shocked that other comparable phones have the basic features that the iPhone is missing. Unfortunately, like other posters have said, we'll have to wait till June....

LoL, you reply is so amusing because it makes absolutely no logical sense. I gather the iPhone to you is a fashion statement, cool to have.
So in your 'logical' world everything that isn't ugly is a fashion statement? Sounds like a pretty poor world.LoL, you reply is so amusing because it makes absolutely no logical sense. I gather the iPhone to you is a fashion statement, cool to have.
Elizabeth Braddock: Mr. Churchill, you are drunk. The iPhone is not a fashion statement to me, but regardless of what it does I'm not gonna go out and spend $300 on an ugly phone with a cheap plastic keyboard. Turn by Turn is something that can be added in a software update, but an ugly phone will always be an ugly phone regardless of what software is on it.
