Ok guys i want to know what screen protector i should get?

Im really thinking, i want the ones with the black borders that wrap around the actual phone , but im not sure if those are good i do not see any big brands using them. But i also do not want to just get the one that does not wrap around and has a cutout for the sensor bar and just does not flow with the whole screen.

What are your opinions? what ones are you getting?
(sorry if there is a post just like this i have not seen one)

personally, i don't like the ones that sit in the middle of the screen. but historically, i've used just a skin on my phones so i've gotten the ones with the colored borders since that style has been available.

however this year i'm thinking of going with a case (ordered a cute polka dot kate spade case and if i don't like that one, i'll return it and buy the pretty red ruby one from apple!)

i did order the orally that goes to the edge but i'm concerned about the case lifting it, so i also bought the sparin that is "case friendly" since i'm planning on a case this year.

I always but the cheapest generic with Amazon Prime shipping. I don't think there is any "magic" in the name brand ones. I've never had any qualms with the generics I bought or noticed they were even installed. Reminds me of the old Monster A/V cabling in the 80s and 90s that claimed to be superior to "regular" wires. Sure the Monster cables looked wicked, but when they were tested they were no better than similar wires, no better made either.

This round I bought Anker Karapax protector. They were $7.99/2 pack at the time. $10 now. If I had to buy now I'd go with the JetTech for $6.99.

I've been using Tech Armor HD film for several years, on iP5/6/7, 9/7 iPad and Mini. It's easy to install and remove, and the tactile feel is just like the glass. When they're available, super cheap, like $5-6 for a 3-pack.

i replaced the glass protector on my 7+ three times this past year (and it's cracked again!) i can't imagine spending $40 or $50 on a protector is going to make it any more or less sturdy than a $7 or $10 one! The ones we were using were $10 on amazon prime!

the ones i bought to try this year were $7.99 and $7.79 for a TWO pak! YAY! and both amazon prime! woot!

I was debating the same thing. The one I have for my iPhone 7 Plus doesn’t go all the way to the edge and it always bugged me. So this time around I got one that is full coverage that supposedly goes a little past the edge with the holes instead of the notch (First pic). Now I’m just hoping the screen protector doesn’t get in the way of the case I bought. Also, really hoping it won’t be too hard to align the front camera notch to those little holes. I hated aligning my old one to the front of the old phone, now there’s more holes and they’re even smaller. I guess we’ll see on Friday!

I just ordered these film protectors for the X from the tech armor site on Friday, I prefer these film ones over the glass and they are super thin as well

I got a G-Color edge to edge glass protector from Amazon. Was around $15 and has precise cutouts. Have used these on my phones for a LONG time and they’re great quality. Can’t even tell that there’s a protector on the phone.

I thought I wanted one that wrapped around the black of the phone, but read reviews about how those interfere with cases like the Apple leather case. I am avoiding ones that wrap around for that reason since after you put the 'screen protector' on and try to stick it in the case, the case pushes up on the protector...

+1. Super thin Tech Armor screen protector gets the job done for me, it's so thin it blends in the black border of the iPhone X! Can't wait till they release the blue light version!

Except for Cinder and IMOS none of the protectors on the market that claim to be 3D/curved edge actually are. All have a lip that lets junk accumulated.

cinder at this point is scam trash thatdoesnt ship product or respond to inquiries.

currently fighting a charge for an 8 protector

Black border one is better, but I bought one without so many holes on top, their cut out may be not precise, also hard to align when you apply

Why is the black border one better? They look strange after having tempered glass protectors that have no border...

I picked up the Sparin Edge to Edge screen protector for the iPhone X on amazon. It was a little pricier then others at $18.99 CAD, but it is advertised to have 3D glass. Recieved it today and it indeed curves down at the edges like Cinder and IMOS ones did for the 6/6S/7.

Seems like the 3D glass protectors are becoming cheaper and more popular.

The black border is designed to go over the black bezels on the phone. It should look pretty much invisible because it overs the entire surface of the phone. The other glass types sit only over the active display so there is a clear edge to the protector.

I have the Baseus front and back glass protector for the X.

Only problem is the front glass would probably not fit any cases at all, except maybe the Apple leather case.

The back one - Well you either have that or you have a case, can't have both.

I bought a Tozo one...that has a soft Edge(black boarders). Is the sparin all glass? Or does it have the same soft edges?

Always used film screen protectors so tempered and especially edge to edge protectors are new to me. Do all of the edge to edge protectors have soft PET edges..or are some fully glass? Are the fully glass ones the ones that don’t have a lip that lets dirt/dust get underneath?

Same sentiments. I started out being a Tech Armor user, but G-Color changed my life with their glass edge to edge protection. Haven’t looked back since. It’s like it isn’t even there.

Can you guys comment on the little space under the edges? Are the G-colors all glass or do they have soft PET edges? Do the edges adhere to the phone as well or just the clear middle sections?

G-Color was the first ALL GLASS edge to edge protector I used. Never looked back. No soft edges or any flimsy parts. It’s solid all the way around. The curved glass parts adhere to the phone as well. I’m never choosing a soft/film protector again.

Does the G-Color protector work and fit with the Apple leather case on it? Or will it peel up. And for that matter what about the other full front coverage glass protectors like the Tozo one as well... Can I use Apple case with them ?

I currently have the iPhone 7 Plus with G-Color paired with the Apple Silicone Case and have had zero problems.
