So just to run over what has been discussed in recent posts on this Forum / sweet spots

Entry level 21.5inch i3 is best for your bucks

Second level 21.5inch i3 with more memory and better graphics card is also a good option if you are a gamer.

Third level 21.5 inch i5 which as someone mentioned on here.....is a beast! a little over priced if you wanted a bigger screen perhaps, but with an i5 processor will last longer regarding future proof/

What about the 27inch i3 though, there hasn't been much talk of this model on here, regarding reviews or people opting to buy this model. Is there a reason? I mean it as the same spec as the second entry 21.5inch i3 model with just a bigger screen for £200 more...... any thoughts? I am tempted by the 27inch i3................would this be an unwise decision?

I was going to buy the Macbook Pro 13 inch.....but that has no i3 processor in it and I dont want to spend £999 on dated tech!!!!!! come on Apple put an i3 in it!! I know there is not much difference in speed....but!

The big monitor is great if you work with databases or documents. But you won't be able to enjoy gaming as much with that GPU. Overall, the 27" i3 is not a bad buy if you use your computer for office and movie-watching.

Well, blame Intel, not Apple. They prohibited Nvidia from making mainboards for new Intel CPUs, forcing Apple to use crappy Intel graphics bundled with new CPUs. So in order to provide acceptable graphics performance on a small-factor 13" MB, Apple had to use older C2D with superior Nvidia IGP.

The 27" i3 is plenty of power for most applications, and it will have better resale value down the line. Also, once you use the 27" display, there's no going back! Have you seen one in person?

I'm under the impression "Second level 21.5inch i3 with more memory and better graphics card" is more future time proof as well (even for general home users - with NO gaming)
