At least one anyway. A 64gb wifi iPad was delivered to me last Saturday at 9:19am and I took it to the UPS store, laid down $169 (ouch!) and shipped it express plus to my daughter in Germany. It was delivered to her this morning at 8:41am Germany time. Needless to say, I'm now SuperDad.

I wrote on the description "tablet" and declared the value as under $100. I think that helped it slide through customs unscathed.:D Packages she gets via regular mail are always opened and inspected. This shipment via UPS was not opened by customs.

She's been using it several hours and says it's working great, including the wifi reception.

So it is possible to get an iPad overseas with a little cash and patience. I'm sure I'm not the only one to do this.

Had mine delivered to me in Amsterdam this morning (from Chicago). Surprisingly, no customs charges, and my friend actually listed it as an "Electronic Gift - not for resale" and put the total value at $770.65.

I'm LOVING it :)
