EXACTLY!!!

When the iPad came out, everyone was bitchin and saying it was a larger iPod, including me! I hated the iPad from the bottom of my heart. But when I touched it at best buy, I was literally blown away!

You can not rate a product until you see it person.

See, I still feel this way about the iPad.

I own an iPhone and a Macbook Pro, using both daily. Every time I play with an iPad I think "this is a really great thing that I'd probably end up using semi-regularly. But what does it actually do that my other devices can't?"

To this day, the answer is still "nothing" (it helps that I'm not much of a gamer).

It's not that it does anything that your other devices can't, it does things better than other devices. Browsing the internet, watching movies, etc are a few. I have an amazing app called Notability, which I use to take notes in my classes. I can type or handwrite using a third party stylus.

Agreed that it's probably more convenient for browsing and watching videos, I guess I'm just used to those things on my current devices and haven't justified the hundreds of dollars it would take to add a tablet for ease-of-use alone. I definitely prefer taking notes on my laptop to writing on a tablet with a stylus anyway.

Now if they made an iPad-MBA hybrid I would be all over that. I'd like a screen large enough to fit a full-size 8.5x11 sheet of paper (I'm a musician and would love to use it as a music reader).

But back on topic...yes, the Apple Watch will ultimately be successful. It'll just take until the 2nd generation to really take off after working out the initial kinks and/or letting technology catch up to all the things we want from it.

I was disappointed after the announcement.
I didn' t like the styling, and was underwhelmed about the possibilities.

Now, 2 days later, it is growing on me.
I am starting to like the design, and possibilities are growing...

It is like the launch of the ipad. I didn' t like it at first... Now i own 2.

But i would like to have something like the fuelband concepts out there.
Just black, with a small curved stealthy display, with more health sensors.
Applefit or something. Ifit?

I already own a nice tag heuer link watch, and don' t need a second watch, just a small unobtrusive wristband or something like that.
