...how are they charged?

apple_watch_studio_wide.jpg

They seem to be the only devices on display in Apple Stores that are not clearly connected to power.

I have confirmed that you can pick up the iPads and there is no cable connected. Is there anyone 'in the know' who can confirm if they are modified versions with inductive charging, or are they rotated by staff throughout the day and charged behind the scenes?

Suppose you are right and they are special iPads that have been modified to include inductive charging. There are no inductive chargers on the table in your photo. Hmmm....

There isnt wireless charging for those iPad, I saw today in Apple Store and one of them it was without battery, and there are only stand to support the iPad. Maybe they have other iPad and they usually change when an iPad died.

They might rotate those iPads without enough battery, as they don’t charge them during use. It’s cool to see they use expensive iPad Pro for Apple Watch stuff display instead of, say, iPad Air 3. With that being said, iPad tends to last a whole lot longer than iPhone, usually 8-10 hours a day, enough to last the entire business period.

Fun fact, all of those iPads have guided access enabled, so you cannot mess those iPads around. Staff you can see usually don’t know the passcode.

They charge them at night. I asked last time I was in the store. If you look in the gap running down the middle of the table you can just barely make out some of the cables.
