iPod The Ipod Dan"S Ipod Cannot be synced. An unknown error occered {-124}

I have been trying to fix for two hours. It starts to sync but then the error comes up everytime. I tried restoring, puting songs in a folder then syncing and reading all the pages ppl put on google. Do I have a bad file or is it my ipod. Please HELP. Thanks Dan

Have you unistalled iTunes and then re-installed it? Rare that apple programs need to do this, but I have had to do so once or twice.
